It’s steamy outside, and a perfect time to use a steamer. Steaming is the lightest way to cook, especially in these hot and heavy times when we crave light foods. I like wooden steamers—they infuse your food with a gently woody smell and taste. Steamers are also really efficient—if you’re boiling potatoes, you can steam squash (pictured here in a blurry-ass photo taken with my Blackberry) at the same time. Pick one up anywhere, really.
